The National Council of Justice (CNJ) has implemented new judicial asset-freezing functionalities through the pilot project for the controlled transition to the new Judicial Asset Search System (SISBAJUD) Manual. These changes provide greater speed and effectiveness to bank account freezing orders, requiring immediate strategic attention.<\/p>\n
Previously, financial institutions had up to two business days to comply with a court order. Under the new system, the execution time has been drastically reduced to just two hours after the decision is issued. Orders are transmitted by the courts during two daily processing windows, at 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., allowing for near-immediate freezes.<\/p>\n
In addition, judicial orders no longer expire after the first attempt. Through continuous monitoring, an order may remain active for up to one year, automatically freezing new deposits credited to the account until the debt is fully satisfied.<\/p>\n
This measure is already in effect for major financial institutions, including Caixa Econ\u00f4mica Federal, Banco do Brasil, Ita\u00fa Unibanco, Nubank, and XP Investimentos, with plans to expand it to the entire financial system in the near future.<\/p>\n

The system\u2019s speed requires constant oversight of cash flow, as the ongoing monitoring mechanism may affect operational resources as soon as they are credited to an account.
